Chocolates available to taste

There will be between 15 to 20 different chocolates to taste. The Chocolates are from specialist Chocolatiers around the world, many who have won awards (see list below).  Many of these chocolates are not available in shops in the UK, but are available on the night and on our website www.chocolateandlove.com.

Here are some of the chocolate brands that are available to taste:

1. Amedei: 4 times winner of The Golden Bean, Academy of Chocolate Awards. www.amedei.com.

2. Beschle: Silver in 2009 at Academy of Chocolate Awards. Small family run Swiss chocolate company producing outstanding champagne truffles, single plantation chocolate bars and amazing no added sugar chocolate.  www.beschlechocolatier.com

3. Pacari: Pacari is the first single origin, organic chocolate produced entirely in Ecuador. Using only fairly traded, Arriba Nacional cocoa from local, small scale farmers. www.pacarichocolate.com.

4. Bojesen: Arguably the finest chocolatier’s in Denmark who produces incredible truffles and nougat to die for.

Hawke and Hunter in association with The Growth Academy are delighted to invite you to our fourth Business Mixer on Thursday the 6th of May from 6-8pm in ‘The Cocktail Bar’ .

The event has received fantastic feedback from attendees so far and continues to attract an ever diverse following.The panel this time will be discussing ‘Financing Business Growth ‘ and will include the speakers Andrew Ewing from Springford Accountants,Euan Tait from Clydesdale Bank, Paul Munn from Par Equity and Ken Beattie from  Marketing Transformations.

So come along for champagne on arrival in the Whisky Bar,then move down to the The Cocktail Bar and sample Hawke and Hunter’s fantastic food ,cocktails and wine amidst our panel’s debate with an eclectic mix of Edinburgh’s business community.

10pm move to Below Stairs: Femme Fatale: a new funky sexy club night. Dj’s Isla Blige & Shev Moni will be laying down the tracks every Thursday night. They will seduce and delight Edinburgh’s socialites who are looking for a good reason to be bad and start the weekend early.

Cocktail Bar from 5pm and Below Stairs from 10pm as usual, with a mixture of funk, soul, house and boogie playing across the bars and club

EASTER SUNDAY 4TH APRIL *SPECIAL* MOTHERGROOVE

The almost legendary Mothergroove is resurrected on Easter Sunday for a party of biblical proportions at Edinburgh’s newest venue, Below Stairs. Your hosts for the evening are Gino & Fryer of Motherfunk fame and Gareth Sommerville, resident at Edinburgh’s longest running house session, Ultragroove. Between them they be will moving the crowd and raising hands with nugget after nugget of disco, boogie, house, soul, funk and hip hop. Expect serious dance floor congestion!
