Edinburgh city’s boutique east end venue, Hawke and Hunter, triumphed at the Scottish Hotel Awards held in Prestonfield on Sunday the 25^th of April  with the property’s ‘ The Green Room’ sweeping ‘Rising Star Venue 2010’ and ‘The Bond Room’ claiming ‘Sexiest Hotel Room 2010’.

The unique property has been transformed and rapidly expanded since it opened in 2008 by ‘Brown Taylor Management’ partners Barrie Brown and Simon Taylor. The venue now boasts 4 individually styled hotel rooms, a cocktail bar, a Whisky Room, a restaurant, ‘The Green Room’ billiards room  and bar, and ’The Secret Garden’, a beautifully furnished outdoor area also linked to their recently opened nightclub ‘Below Stairs’.‘The Bond Room’ is renowned among visitors for hosting a distinctively daring exhibitionist space which may even raise an eyebrow with the original character himself. The room carries a dark, den-like ambience, and is dominated by a luxurious double bed that looks directly on to a huge shower fronted by a two-way mirror in a massive gold frame. To celebrate this accolade, Hawke and Hunter will also be offering a special romantic package on ‘The Bond room’ for the month of May.
